Chris Mihulka, a native, and resident of Springfield, Oregon, has been involved in photography for over 40 years.  His early experience involved news photography using 35mm film processed in an old fashioned darkroom.  Like most photographers, he has evolved with the technology of the times and now records most of his images digitally, although there are some subjects that still demand the quality produced with a large format camera, black & white film, and a silver-based paper.  

His images cover a wide range of subjects.  You will  see fast moving athletes as well as animals captured with absolute clarity.  Quiet subjects are portrayed with a feeling of light and life that displays the mood of a moment frozen in time. 

Using true classic photographic techniques, all black & white custom prints are produced by Chris Mihulka in his personal darkroom.  Quality silver-based paper and attention to processing details produce prints of archival quality.
